This invention is a head cover, which could be in the form of a hat or a cap, which will protect or reduce the incidence of infection by aerosol or airborne pathogens like virus, bacteria or any other pathogens.This hat could be worn during day-to-day activities or as a costume wear and also give you protection against infections like SARS-CoV-2.
What could be the reason that some Asian countries like Sri Lanka have less severe and more asymptomatic patients with reduced incidence of spread, compared to temperate countries?
Many factors contribute to lessening of severe diseases and spread in tropical countries. One prominent cause could be Previous Dengue infections, which may have some protection against COVID 19. Dengue and Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are difficult to distinguish because they have shared clinical and laboratory features (1).
GENERAL PRACTITIONERS’ ROLE IN THE CURRENT COVID 19 PANDEMIC
General practitioners (GPs) were the first line of contact for most medical conditions ranging from Simple Upper Respiratory tract Infections to complex diseases like Diabetes. Before the Covid 19 pandemic GPs were also the first contact point for most infectious diseases which they treated willingly, and without any spread of the disease to themselves, to the nursing staff or to other patients not diagnosed of such infection. But conditions have changed with the emerging Covid 19 infection, due to high possibility of the virus being infected to the Doctor, the nursing staff and the other patients in their clinics. Only strategy is to clearly isolate the infection diseased patients and to treat the other patients.
